WHITEFISH — The Frontier Conference is the winner of the inaugural Red Lion Challenge Cup. The Frontier won five of the eight basketball games played in the final weekend of competition to raise the

Frontier’s victory total to 42.

One point was given for each victory in the games and matches played between the Frontier and Cascade Conferences. The final total was the Frontier Conference 42, the Cascade Conference 18.

The Red Lion Challenge featured competition between the two northwest conferences in men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, cross country, and men’s and women’s basketball. The Red Lion Challenge began in August and concluded this past weekend. Next year, men’s and women’s golf will be added to the competition.
