Winners of three straight, the Bulldogs close out the regular season with a Western AA twin bill against the Wolfpack.
Butte High is coming off a pair of routs of Kalispell Flathead Tuesday at Stodden Park. The Bulldogs (7-11 overall, 6-6 conference) will head to the Western AA Divisional tournament next week in Helena.
Butte Central’s LaVerne Combo Invitational
The Maroons will host an abbreviated version of their long-running tournament.
BC and 10 other teams will compete at Stodden Park. On Friday, BC will play Ronan at 2 p.m. before battling Frenchtown in a 6 p.m. Southwestern A game. On Saturday, BC plays Libby at 11 a.m. and Browning at 3 p.m.
Butte High’s JV team will play two games on Saturday. The Bulldogs will play Corvallis at 9 a.m. and Hamilton at 1 p.m.
Dillon backed out of the tournament on Thursday, so the schedule has been revised. (Tournament schedule)
Butte Central at Livingston, 10:30 a.m.
Central hits the road for the meet that closes the regular season for the Maroons.
The meet will serve as the final tune up before the Maroons head to the Western A Divisional meet next week in Columbia Falls.
Belgrade at Butte High, noon
Stodden Park will set the scene as the Bulldogs see their only home action of the season.
The late addition to the schedule will serve as Butte High’s final matches before heading to Missoula for divisionals next week.
Dillon Cubs B at Butte Muckers (DH), 5:30 p.m.
The Muckers and Cubs B will play two five-inning games on Miners Field at 3 Legend Stadium.
Butte is 1-3 after opening the season at home last weekend against the Great Falls Chargers and Bozeman B team.
