Frontier Conference Championship in Dillon

Montana Tech runners will be looking for trips to the NAIA National Championships when they converge on the Beaverhead Golf Course.

The first-place teams and advance to the national meet. Also, the top four finishers not qualifying on a team advance to the meet, which is Nov. 19 in Vancouver, Washington.

The No. 16 Oredigger women placed second at the Frontier Conference Preview Meet on the same course in September. Tech’s Becca Richtman won the race.

On the men’s side, Oredigger River Sheppard placed third to lead the Orediggers to a second-place showing.

Montana Tech at MSU-Northern, 6 p.m.

The No. 17 Orediggers close the regular season on the High Line.

The Orediggers (20-8 overall, 6-3 Frontier Conference) swept the Skylights when the teams met Oct. 9 in Butte. Northern, though, took a five-set win from the Orediggers in the non-conference Frontier Conference Preview tournament in Havre.

The Skylights enter the match at 14-11 overall and 3-5 in conference.

NA3HL hockey
Butte at Badlands, 7:05 p.m.

The Cobra head to Rapid City, South Dakota looking to stay hot when they take on the Badlands Sabers in the NA3HL Frontier Division game.

Butte (5-9-2) beat Great Falls and Bozeman at home last week. The Sabres (4-7-1) and Cobras split a weekend set at the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena Oct. 8-9. The teams will meet again at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday.

The Cobras’ next home game is Nov. 13 against Helena.
