Friday’s Hot Ticket: Orediggers at Northern

Montana Tech at MSU-Northern, 6 p.m.
The Orediggers (2-10, 12-11) look to snap a three-game losing streak when they head to Northern to take on the Skylights (3-10, 14-11) in the Frontier Conference tilt.

Northern beat Tech 59-51 Jan. 26 in Butte. Peyton Kehr scored 15 points to lead Northern in that game. Kaylee Zard’s 20 points and nine rebounds paced Tech.

Emily Maldonado’s 27 points led the Skylights to a 62-56 win over the University of Providence Wednesday in Havre.

Tech is seeing its first action since last Thursday’s 53-43 loss to Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. Mollie Peoples came off the bench to score 16 points to lead BC in that game.

The Orediggers (5-7, 15-9) and Lights (7-6, 15-10) will play the rubber match of their three-game regular-season series at the Armory Gymnasium.

Northern won 69-58 Jan. 26 in Butte. Justin Dunsmore scored 16 points to lead five lights in double figures. Kavon Bey added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Troy Owens Jr. scored 23 points to lead Tech. Taylor England scored 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Orediggers won the first meeting 72-60 Jan. 12 in Havre.
