Kalispell Flathead at Butte 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs (7-7, 4-6) look for the season sweep of the Bravettes (3-10, 2-7) when the girls open the Western AA doubleheader.

The games will be held at Butte High’s Richardson Gym because Chris Janson is performing Friday night at the Civic Center.

Butte High beat Flathead 67-39 when the teams met Jan. 17 in Kalipsell. Senior Makenna Carpenter scored 20 points in that win. Junior MacKenzie Tutty added 14 points.

Sophomore Clare Converse’s nine points led the Bravettes, who have lost seven of their last eight.

Prep boys’ basketball
Kalispell Flathead at Butte High 7:30 p.m.

Butte High (4-10, 3-7) will look for the sweep against the Braves (3-10, 2-7) in the nightcap as well.

Junior Jake Olson scored on a putback at the buzzer, and Butte High beat Flathead 57-55 when the teams played Jan. 17 in Kalispell. Olson finished with 22 points in that win. Classmate Blake Drakos poured in 20.

Sophomore Joston Cripe scored 16 points to lead the Braves. Senior Gatlin Bruner scored 14.

HA3HL Hockey
Missoula at Butte, 7:30 p.m.

The Cobras will host the Junior Bruins at the Butte Community Ice Center.

It will be the second of a stretch of three games in eight days between the rivals. Zane Cluphf scored four goals as Missoula beat Butte 8-4 Saturday in Butte. The teams will play again this Saturday in Missoula.

At 14-26, the Junior Bruins sit in sixth place in the Frontier Division. Butte enters the weekend at 6-36.
