Butte High at Kalispell Flathead, 5:30 p.m.
Butte High’s girls hit the road looking to stop a two-game slide when they take on the Bravettes in the Western AA game.
The Bulldogs are 4-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play after falling to the Helena schools last week. Junior guard MacKenzie Tutty is coming off a 22-point performance in Butte High’s 43-40 loss at Helena High on Saturday. Senior Haley Herron scored eight points in that game.
Kalispell enters at 2-4 and 1-2.
Prep boys’ basketball
Butte High at Kalispell Flathead, 7 p.m.
The boys close out the doubleheader with Butte High looking to get back in the Western AA win column.
Butte High dropped decisions to Helena High and Helena Capital last week. The latest was a 46-42 home loss to Helena High. Andrew Booth and Billy Kelly each scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs in that game. Kelly scored all of his before leaving with an ankle injury early in the third quarter.
The Braves are 1-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula, 10 a.m.
The No. 5-ranked Bulldogs head to one of the top tournaments of the season on a roll.
The Bulldogs beat Helena High 65-0 Tuesday in Butte. That victory came four days after Butte High beat Missoula Big Sky 33-30.
Scout Allen, Kameron Moreno, Keagan Gransbery, Quinn Sullivan, Kobe Moreno, Christian Sherman, Trey Whitlock, Connor Konda and Dominick Scown were all ranked in this week’s Class AA coaches poll.
Yellowstone at Butte, 7:30 p.m.
The Cobras open a weekend home series Friday against the Yellowstone Quake at the Butte Community Ice Center. Yellowstone enters the weekend at 12-19, while the Cobras are 6-29.
Saturday’s game also starts at 7:30.
