Missoula Sentinel and Billings Senior at Butte High and Butte Central, 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs and Maroons jump back into action for the four-team meet on the Charlie Merrifield Track inside the Gene Fogarty Complex.
Both teams put up strong showings at last week’s John Tomich Invitational hosted by Butte Central. Lindsay McGree won the 100 meters and the long jump to lead the Maroons. Ally Cleverly (400 and 200), Anna Trudnowski (high jump), Braleigh Garrett (100 hurdles) and Tommy Mellott (100 and long jump) posted individual wins for the Bulldogs.
Butte High and Butte Central will head to their respective divisional meets in two weeks.
Butte Central vs. Stevensville (in Missoula), 4 p.m.
The Maroons and Yellowjackets will play on the state’s biggest softball state. Grizzly Softball Field, the home of the University of Montana softball team, will host the Southwestern A contest.
The Maroons hope to finally play a couple of home games Saturday. They are scheduled to take on Hamilton at 1 p.m. and Dillon at 4.
