Butte Central at Frenchtown Invite
The Maroons will be in action for the first time in 10 days Friday when they take on some tough competition at the annual tournament. After the BC junior varsity team plays the Frenchtown JV at noon, the Maroons will play Missoula Loyola at 4 p.m. On Saturday, BC will play Frenchtown at noon and Columbia Falls at 4 p.m. Central’s last action saw pitcher Teresa Piazzola strike out 13 batters in relief as the Maroons knocked off Stevensville 7-5 April 15 in Stevensville. Shawnee Hjelt smacked three hits in that win. Rylee Green had a two-hit day. The Maroons, who are 3-1 in Southwestern A, are 4-3 overall.
