Prep Boys’ Basketball
Billings Skyview at Butte High, 7:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs (2-6, 1-1) are in action for the first time in more than a week when they take on the Falcons (7-3, 2-1) in an Eastern AA game at the Butte Civic Center. The Bulldogs haven’t played since their Jan. 10 loss to Butte Central. Dallas Cook leads the Bulldogs, scoring 14.9 points and Class AA-Best 9.4 rebounds per game. Cook’s availability this weekend, though, is in question after he sprained an ankle against the Maroons. Peter Granger adds 11.0 points per game for the Bulldogs. Cory Farstveet and Brian Smith both add about eight points. Zach Bunney rounds out the Bulldog starting lineup. Skyview is coming of Tuesday’s 67-55 loss to Billings West in the Skyview gym. Daine Muller leads the Class AA in scoring with more than 22 points per game.

Prep Girls’ Basketball
Butte High at Billings Skyview, 7:30 p.m.

Butte High (6-2, 1-1) hits the road looking to cement a spot among the conference leaders. The Bulldogs take on the struggling Falcons (3-7, 0-4). Natalee Faupel leads three Bulldogs who average in double figures scoring. She averages 12.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Hailey Hoagland averages 11.5 points, while Sammy McGree scores 11.1. Carlie Haeffner adds 7.2 rebounds to the Bulldog lineup. Hattie Thatcher is far and away the Class AA assists leader, dishing out 6.9 per game. Taven Morrison averages 9.5 points per game for Skyview, which fell 34-23 to previous winless Billings West last night. The Bulldogs play West on Saturday.

Women’s College Basketball
Montana Tech at MSU-Northern, 6 p.m.

The Orediggers (10-7, 3-2) will be on the Hi-Line for this key Frontier Conference showdown with the Skylights (10-7, 2-3). (Click here to listen free online.) Tech is coming off Saturday’s 66-56 win at Rocky Mountain. Mandy Machinal averages 16.1 points per game to lead three Orediggers in double figures. Kelsey DeWit averages 12.4 points to go along with 7.7 boards, while Laini Kalumbi scores 11.7. Northern is coming off back-to-back lopsided losses to Montana Western and Westminster College. Nikki Tresch leads the Skylights, averaging 14.5 points per game. Jordan Bruursema scores 10.6.

Men’s College Basketball
Montana Tech at MSU-Northern, 8 p.m.
The Orediggers (11-8, 2-3) look to jump into the playoff contention as they hit the road to play MSU-Northern and the University of Great Falls. (Click here to listen free online.) First up are the No. 12-ranked Lights (16-3, 4-1). Tech is looking for its third win in four games. Adam Greger leads Tech into the weekend, averaging 19.3 points and 6.1 rebounds. Bryan Bock adds 11.5 points per game, while Daniel Simon scores 9.2 points and grabs 6.7 rebounds. The Lights are coming off a lopsided loss at Westminster College. Devin Jackson’s leads the team with 15.4 points per game. Jesse Jaughan scores 12.1, while Alfie Miller scores 11.0.

Prep Wrestling
Butte Central at Class A Duals in Belgrade, 1 p.m.

The Maroons will face the best of the Class A on the mats today and tomorrow. BC 98-pound sophomore Clay Stillwagon is looking to build on last week’s third-place finish at the Cowboy Invitational in Miles City. Zach Hart placed sixth at 135.
