Frenchtown battles back to win girls’ Southwestern A

HAMILTON — Liv Williams scored 13 of her game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter Saturday night, and Frenchtown stormed back to beat Dillon 34-29 in the girls’ championship game of the Southwestern A District tournament on the Dale Berry Court.

The Broncs outscored Dillon 15-4 in the final frame to overcome a 25-19 deficit.

Kylie Willett added five points for Frenchtown, while Meg Delaney tossed in four and Callie Bagnell scored two.

Future Montana State Bobcat Brynley Fitzgerald poured in 19 points to lead the Beavers.

Paige Rouse scored four points in the defensive struggle, while Jordyn McKay and Josey Jones each scored three.
