BOZEMAN — Four Butte High wrestlers reached the semifinals of the Tom LeProwse Invitational Friday.
The Bulldogs sit in sixth place heading into Saturday.
Bozeman leads the way with 123 points. Billings Senior is second at 100.5, Billings West and Kalispell Flathead are tied at 92.5, and Great Falls High is fifth at 92. Butte High scored 87 points.
The 103-pound weight class is the most interesting for the Bulldogs. Both Christian Sherman and Keagan Gransbery reached the semifinals in the division.
Sherman will take on Senior’s Jalen Vladic in one semifinal. Gransbery, who rolled his season record go 19-0 with three wins on Friday, will take on West’s Wyatt Van Pelt in the other.
Bulldog Wil Queer reached the final four of the 113-pound division. He’ll battle Alejandro Madrid in the semifinals.
In the 205-pound division, Bulldog Kameron Moreno reached the semifinals, where he’ll take on Zane McCormick of Helena Capital.
Butte High 152-pound wrestler Carl Anderson is still alive in the consolation bracket. Also, Butte’s Connor Konda reached the quarterfinals before bowing out of the consolation rounds at 126.
Butte Central sent a pair of wrestlers and scored two points.
