Flye triple-double leads Rocky to Final Site

BILLINGS — Rocky Mountain College is moving on in the 2022 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship.

A triple-double by N’Dea Flye led the way as the Battlin’ Bears beat Dakota State University 89-73 Saturday at the Fortin Center. (Stats)

Flye Scored 29 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory that ran Rocky’s record to 28-4.

Shauna Bribiescas scored 25 points in the win. Butte Central graduate Kloie Thatcher added 11 points and seven rebounds. Mackenzie Dethman scored eight points, and Gracee Lekvold added six points and seven dimes.

Jessi Giles scored 18 points to lead Dakota State, which closes the season at 27-8.

The Battlin’ Bears move on to the 2022 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship Final Site. The Battlin’ Bears will play Wayland Baptist on Thursday at 7 p.m. (Mountain) in Sioux City, Iowa.
