The Butte High Volleyball season came to an end early this afternoon when the Dogs fell in a loser-out match at the Western AA Divisional tournament.
The Flathead Braves defeated the Bulldogs 26-24, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-17. Once again the Bulldogs showed they would not go down without a fight as they challenged every point.
Butte senior Averie Olsen served all 5 of the Bulldogs aces, picked up 23 digs, put up 2 blocks and killed 12 to pace the team in her last game in purple. Laura Rosenleaf (6) and Mickenzie McIntyre (8) joined Olsen with kills for the dogs. Rosenleaf also dug up 16 to go with Camille Kautzman’s 21.
