Big news for Butte hockey.
Butte Irish 14U goaltender Ryan Ferriter has been selected to advance from the Northern Plains District Camp to the Western Regional High Performance Camp in Colorado Springs.
Ferriter first earned his spot through the Montana Development Camp before competing at the Northern Plains Camp in Fargo against top players from Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. From there, only a select group moves on to the Western Regional Camp.
The honor puts Ferriter among some of the top youth hockey players in the region and marks another major accomplishment in what has already been a standout year.
Ferriter helped lead the Butte Irish 14U team to a Montana State Championship earlier this season and has continued to stack up achievements with his work ethic, composure and compete level in net.
Congratulations to Ryan Ferriter on a huge accomplishment. Colorado Springs is getting one heck of a goalie.
