Federal Better Homes Org. wins spring trap league

Federal Better Homes Org. outshot the field to top the standings at the Butte Trap Club’s Spring League.

The team, made up of Jake Taverna, Roger Terry, Ron Lyons, Mel Kieninger and Chris Andersen, posted a score of 1,411 to win the Class AA division. Arc Electric was second at 1,393, followed by Viecvich Lawy/Cooney’s Security at 1,321.

Baker Auto won the Class A, while Archibald Co. topped the Class B field, and Timberline Security won the Class C.

The league ran eight weeks and was shot on Thursday nights.

Mark Moline’s 48 topped the field in short-yardage shooting on Week 8. Brandon Lyons, Mark Jeffery, Scott Irwin and Louie Sutey all shot 44 to tie for the top score in mid-yardage shooting, and Tim Cassidy’s 46 bested the field in long-yardage shooting.

FBHO earned the Class AA division trophy with a 1411×1600 total score.  Team members are; Jake Taverna, Roger Terry, Ron Lyons, Mel Kieninger and Chris Andersen. 

Baker Auto won the Class A division handicap trophy with a 1383×1600 score.  Team members are; Rich Long, Kohlten Fultz, Mike McLaughlin, Al Petersen and John Truzzolino.

Archilbald Company won the Class B division with a 1327×1600 total.  Team members include; Kevin Zimpel, Bob York, Bart Bacon, Leo McCarthy & Jason Dinius.

Timberline Security won the Class C division with a 1273×1600 total.  Team members include; Travis Birkenbuhl, Pete Steilman, Les Anderson, Darrel Storey and Scott Driscoll.

Bill Daly won the High Individual award breaking a total of 364×400 targets followed by runner-up Tim Cassidy with 359×400.

Colleen Fink won the High Lady Shooter award.

Justin Lerum won the 1st Annie Oakley Shoot . Brad Smith finished 2nd & Duane Kucthyn was 3rd.

Ron Leppola won the 1st Follow the Leader Shoot . Chris Anderson finished 2nd & Mark Jeffery was 3rd.

Jerry Vercella won the 2nd Follow the Leader Shoot . Brandon Cassidy finished 2nd & Roger Terry was 3rd.
