HAVRE — Natalee Faupel was one of four MSU-Northern players to score in double figures Friday night as the No. 16 Skylights knocked off first-place Lewis-Clark State 65-56 in a Frontier Conference game. Stats

The Butte High graduate scored 15 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists in the victory, which puts the Skylights within one win of securing the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the Frontier Conference playoffs.

Cydney Auzenne scored a game-high 16 points in the win. Jacy Thompson scored 10, while Molly Kreycik netted 10.

Megan Risnger and Brittany Thackett each scored 10 points to lead the No. 12 Warriors, who fell to 14-3 in conference and 23-5 overall.

Northern, which is 22-6 overall, is tied for second place with the University of Great Falls at 11-6. Northern, which plays host to Montana Tech on Saturday, holds the tiebreaker.

The Skylights took two out of three from the Warriors this season.
