HAVRE — Celestina Faletoi had her second-best game as an Oredigger Saturday, coming off the bench to score 18 points to lead the Montana Tech women’s basketball team to a 62-58 win over MSU-Northern at the Armory. (Stats)
Faletoi, who hit 6 of 11 shots from the field and was 6 for 6 from the free throw line, also grabbed a team-best eight rebounds in the win. That was key for the Orediggers (4-5), who are still without injured Tavia Rooney
Faletoi, a junior from West Valley City, Utah, scored a career-high 19 points last Feb. 8 against Lewis-Clark State College.
In all, four Orediggers scored in double figures in a game that saw six lead changes. Dani Urick continued her hot trend with 12 points, while Brooke Heggie and Mesa Williams each scored 10 points. Williams also grabbed six rebounds and dropped five dimes.
Mollie Peoples came off the bench to score six points, and Soda Rice and Aubrie Rademacher each scored three. Rademacher grabbed seven boards.
Tiara Gilham and Peyton Kehr each scored 13 points to lead the Skylights (0-5, 1-8). Allix Goldhahn added nine, Sydney Hovde tossed in eight, and McKenzie Gunter contributed with six.
The teams play again Sunday at 2 p.m. in Havre.
