Erika McLeod wins 200 with season-best time

BOZEMAN — Erika McLeod was in top form Friday night as the Montana Grizzlies competed in the MSU Dual Meet at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

The Butte High graduate and Montana Senior posted a season-best time in winning the women’s 200-meter race. Her time of 24.82 seconds is the third best in the Big Sky Conference this season.

McLeod also placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.80 seconds.

Mijah McLeod placed fourth in the women’s 800-meter race for the Grizzlies. The Butte High grad finished in 2:21.22. The Grizzlies claimed the top four spots in the race, with Carly Smiedala (2:15.12), Madeline Hamilton (2:16.14) and Megan Franz (2:17.62) leading the way.

The Grizzlies will be back in Bozeman next Friday to compete in the Big Sky Tuner. The Big Sky Indoor Championships are set for Feb. 21-23 in Bozeman.
