Emerson posted a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds in her Frontier debut Saturday night. The night, however, ended with a loss as the Orediggers fell 89-76 to the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors in double overtime. Stats
The Warriors outscored Tech 15-2 in the second overtime to pull out the win. The game was tied at 64 after regulation and at 74 at the end of the first overtime.
Emerson, a junior transfer and Butte High graduate, also dished out three assists. She was 7 for 11 from the field.
Sophie Baetz added 18 points for the Orediggers, while Kelsey DeWit came three assists away from a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Tech also got eight points from Victoria Turner and six apiece from Mandy Machinal and Kimi Heng.
Megan Risinger scored 20 points to lead four Warriors in double figures. Caelyn Orlandi scored 19, while Brittaney Niebergall scored 12 and Hannah Byerly tossed in 10.
The Orediggers don’t play another Frontier Conference game until January. They play at home against the Northwest Indian College next Saturday.
