HAMILTON — Hunter Emerson of Polson and Macee Greenwood of Corvallis claimed medalist honors at the Hamilton Invitational Saturday.
Emmerson shot a 4-over-par 76 to top the boys’ field. Whitefish golfer Marcus Kilman was second at 78, and Max Cianflone of Hamilton placed third at 80.
Sam Henderson was the lone Butte Central player in the field. He shot a 90.
Polson won the team title at 324, beating second-place Whitefish by 11 shots. Hamilton took third at 336.
Greenwood fired a 78 to walk away with the girls’ title. The defending Class A state champion shot a 37 on the back nine. Kate Lewis of Frenchtown took second at 85. Ronan’s Alyssa Pretty on Top shot an 89 for third place.
The Polson girls claimed the team crown at 41. Frenchtown took second at 406, followed by Hamilton at 414.
