Montana Tech dropped its first match of the season Friday morning, falling to 2-1 with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 to Eastern Oregon at the Cascade/Frontier Red Lion Challenge.
Tech continues the tournament with a match against Northwest University (Wash.) at 2 p.m.
Katie Tabaracci tallied seven kills, while Sydney Norris notched six kills and three aces. Kimmy Kavran collected 24 digs in the loss.
Casey Loper killed nine to lead Eastern Oregon, which won its third straight match.
