Dogs set to battle the Hawks at home Friday night at Naranche

Bozeman Hawks (1-0) VS Butte High Bulldogs (1-0), Butte High had quite the opening night for their football program and on the road against a really talented team in Billings west to say the least. In his tenure here you simply can never count an Arie Grey team out, no matter the score, team, or weather; whatever it may be his team will fight until the very end and they did that last week as they prevailed 21-17 over Billings West.

They know that isn’t the brand they can or will play moving forward but for week one they found a way to win and that’s all that coach Grey asks for. Bo Demarais had quite the outing in his varsity QB debut, but he proved he can move on and forget about the last play good or bad.

Senior Rueso Batterman also let it be known that he is here to play some ball this season. He had 7 catches for 128 yards, he averaged 18 yards a catch against Billings West. The Butte High D is the heartbeat of this team and will do whatever it takes and that is asked of them on their side of the ball.

The Bozeman Hawks on the other side just defeated the Helena Bengals 21-14 last Friday at Van Winkle Stadium. The Hawks were led by super stud Kellen Harrison who took over for Jake Casagranda and prior to last week had thrown just one varsity pass. Friday night he threw 29 of them compiling for over 250 yards and 2 Touchdowns against the Bengals, the Hawks also never turned the ball over once.

Its sure to be a clash this Friday night at Naranche Stadium, the lights aren’t brighter anywhere else, we hope to see a packed house!
