Dillon girls hold off Bulldogs

DILLON — The Dillon Beavers opened Tuesday’s doubleheader with a 36-25 win over Butte High in a non-conference girls’ basketball game at the B.W. Lodge Gymnasium.

The Beavers led the low-scoring affair 8-4 after the first quarter and 14-11 at the half. Dillon took a 22-17 edge into the fourth quarter.

Alex Rouse hit three 3-pointers and paced the Beavers with 13 points. She was joined in double figures by Brynlee Fitzgerald, who scored 11 points.

Ally Cleverly sank four 3-pointers and scored 13 of her game-high 14 points in the second half to lead Butte High. Abby Dodge added six points before fouling out. Butte High also got three points from Madi Yost and two from Riley Duffey

Butte High will take on Butte Central Thursday night at the Butte Civic Center.
