Diggers well represented in Montana Shrine Game

Saturday’s Montana East-West Shrine Game in Great Falls will include 12 players who have signed to play football for Coach Kyle Samson at Montana Tech.

Four future Orediggers will play for Samson’s father, Mark, while representing the East. Eight soon-to-be Tech players will play for Bryce Carver and the West.

Tech commits playing for the East are Jaxon Cotton (Bozeman), Trey Johannes (Columbus), Colby Martinez (Columbus) and Zach Newton (Great Falls High). (East roster)

Future Orediggers representing the West are Braden Guse (Big Fork), Kevin Hanenburg (Frenchtown), Chrlie Kirgan (Missoula Sentinel), Chaise Meyers (Missoula Big Sky), Jamey Michelotti (Helena Capital), Blake Shoupe (Florence), Cole Stewart (Butte High), and Cade Zaluski (Florence). (West roster)

The game will kickoff at 7 p.m. Saturday and be broadcast around the state on MTN stations. It will also be carried live on KBOW with Paul Panisko and retired coach Mike Cutler on the call.
