Diggers spike Skylights

HAVRE — Montana Tech’s volleyball team snapped its four-match losing streak, taking down MSU-Northern in a four-set Frontier Conference match Friday night in the Armory.

Tech won 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17 for its third win in three matches against Northern this season. (Stats)

Maureen Jessop tallied 16 kills to lead the Oredigger attack that outkilled Northern 51-45. Jessop also notched 17 digs in the win.

Karina Mickelson added 11 kills, and Taylor Henley spiked nine. McKenna Kaelber dished out 41 assists, and Hannah Oggerino collected 18 digs. Emma Carvo, Kaelber and Mickelson contributed in the back court with 10 digs. Hudsyn Dibrito collected eight digs.

Rylee Burmester’s 11 kills led the Skylights. Elissa Lind and Alana Graves each spiked 10.

Tech and Northern will play again at 1 p.m. Saturday in Havre.
