Dickinson, N.D. — Montana Tech’s volleyball continued its winning ways on the road against Dickinson State, sweeping the Blue Hawks 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 Saturday afternoon.
The Orediggers (14-8, 4-6) pick up their third straight win and fourth conference victory of the season. This was the first ever conference match with Dickinson State (3-16, 0-8) who is still winless in Frontier
Conference play.
Four Diggers had double-digit kills as Tech outhit Dickinson 54-38 in the match. The team hitting percentage was 0.290.
Freshman Sydney Norris had 14 kills with a 0.306 hitting percentage. Korey Krumm had 13 kills and hit for 0.667 and only one error.
Shersteen Cline and Mikayla Sullivan each had 12 kills in the match.
Freshman Kimmy Kavran shrunk the gap even more for the most digs in a season. Kavran picked up 25 digs in the match giving her 607 on the year. The record is 608 held by Butte Central head volleyball coach Kaila Minehan.
Alison Lunde had 38 assists in the match and the service aces.
The Diggers are home next weekend for two matches. They face Montana State Northern on Friday night and Lewis-Clark State in a Saturday afternoon match.
