Diggers Move Up in NAIA Football Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the Fourth NAIA 2022 Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll today. The Montana Tech Orediggers moved up two spots from last week to No. 19 in the latest national poll.

The Orediggers (4-1) celebrated Homecoming with a 73-0 runaway victory over MSU-Northern on Saturday. The Orediggers finished with 467 yards of total offense while hold the Lights to just 28 yards.

The College of Idaho (5-0) moved into the top 10 of the Coaches’ Top 25 Poll now at No. 9 after being ranked No. 11 the last two polls. Rocky Mountain (4-1) moved up three spots to No. 17. Carroll College fell out of the top 25 and is now receiving votes.

Morningside (Iowa) still holds the top spot receiving all 19 first place votes.

The Orediggers face No. 9 College of Idaho on the road this week. The Yotes host the Orediggers in Caldwell this Saturday with kickoff slated for 1 p.m. MST.
