Diggers move up one, Dawgs fall three

Montana Tech moved up one spot to No. 9 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll, which was released today.

The move comes two days after the Orediggers beat then-No. 22 Montana Western 35-20 at Alumni Coliseum. Western fell to No. 25.

Southern Oregon also moved up one spot. The Mountaineers are No. 8 after beating Rocky Mountain College 35-34 in Billings. That loss knocked the Battlin’ Bears, who were No. 25, out of the poll.

Eastern Oregon remains tied at No. 16.

Marian (Indiana) remains at No. 1. Baker (Kansas) is No  2, followed by Reinhardt (Georgia).

The Orediggers play host to Carroll College on Saturday.
