KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the fourth edition of the Coaches Top 25 Poll today. The Orediggers moved up three spots into No. 19 in the national poll.
Montana Tech (4-1) defeated than-No. 15 Montana Western (4-1) last weekend 35-12. The Orediggers held the normally potent Bulldog offense to just 150 yards of total offense and no touchdowns in the convincing victory. Western fell to No. 22 in the latest poll.
No. 8 College of Idaho held its ranking. The Yotes downed Carroll College 47-14 last week.
Morningside held on to the top spot receiving all 17 first place votes. Concordia (Mich.) fell to No. 10 after losing over the weekend.
The poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams.
The Orediggers are on the road this weekend. College of Idaho hosts the Orediggers Saturday in a rematch of the first game of the season.
