The Montana Tech Orediggers will hold the Fall Kickoff Cookout at Universal Athletics Services Tuesday. UAS, located at 3544 Harrison Avenue, will host the event in their parking lot adjacent to the building from 5 to 9 p.m.
Free hamburgers and hot dogs are on the menu with the Digger Athletic Association and Touchdown Club’s Tailgate Trailer on the premise and in full operation. Montana Tech coaches and student-athletes will be in attendance at the event and posters will be available for autographs. Orediggers fans will also have the chance to meet new athletic director Dave Lau.
Digger gear with all new designs for 2014 will be available from UAS on Tuesday as well. UAS is the official merchandise and retailer for Digger Athletics this year. UAS will sell merchandise at athletic events during 2014-15 with some of the proceeds going to Digger Athletics.
The Digger Athletic Association will be selling memberships, season tickets and Digger Balls for the Brew Ha-Ha slated for Sept. 19.
The first home football game is Aug. 30 against Montana State Northern at 6 p.m. at Alumni Coliseum.
