Digger Women’s Hoop picked 5th in Frontier

WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference released the 2022-23 Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll today. Montana Tech under first year head coach Jeff Graham was picked to finish fifth in the league standings this year.

Carroll College was chosen unanimously to win the Frontier this season. The Saints received five first place votes.

Montana Western was selected second in the poll receiving one first place vote. Last season’s Frontier Conference champion Rocky Mountain was picked third. The University of Providence was selected fourth and MSU-Northern was picked last.

In the women’s poll, there was one ballot that gave both Montana Western and Providence a third place vote. The points for third and fourth were added together and divided by two with each school receiving half of the total.

Votes were five points for first, four points for second, three points for third, two points for fourth and one point for fifth. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
