Digger women roll Corban for fourth straight win

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Make it four in a row for the Montana Tech women’s basketball team.

Sophomore Dani Urick scored 19 points to lead five Orediggers in double figures Friday, and Tech opened the Northwest University Classic with an 81-47 win over Corban University (Oregon). (Stats)

Mollie Peoples and Brooke Heggie came off the bench to score 11 points for Tech, which led 41-24 at halftime. Kaylee Zard and Mesa Williams each scored 10 in the win.

Tech also got eight points from Hope Lalau, six points and nine rebounds from Tavia Rooney, three points from Jaden Comings, two from Hailey Crawford and one from Megan Delaney. Heggie grabbed seven rebounds.

Jordan Woodvine’s 17 points led Corban. Shaelie Burgess scored 10.

The 4-1 Orediggers take on host Northwest University Saturday afternoon.
