Digger Volleyball Moves up in NAIA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the fifth NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll today. The Montana Tech Orediggers are on the move again reaching No. 15 in the latest national poll.

The Orediggers (21-6, 6-0) have won 11-straight matches and are unbeaten in conference play so far this season. Tech has gone 4-0 since the last poll defeating than-No. 23 Columbia College (Mo.) at the Viterbo University Tournament. Columbia College
moved up in the polls as well to No. 14. Despite Columbia’s loss to the Orediggers, they defeated than-No. 4 Missouri Baptist who fell all the way to No. 17.

The Orediggers opened up the second half of conference play last weekend with a 3-1 victory over Providence.

Two of the top three schools are from the Cascade Conference as Eastern Oregon remains in the top spot and Corban (Ore.) is ranked No. 3. Jamestown (N.D.) is still ranked No. 2 as there was no change in the top three.

The Orediggers are on the road this week traveling to Carroll College and Rocky Mountain.
