Digger men top Raiders

ASHLAND, Ore. — Three Montana Tech players scored in double figures Friday, and the Orediggers topped Southern Oregon 73-68 at the Lithia Motors Pavilion. (Stats)

The non-conference men’s basketball game was part of the Flagship Inn Tournament.

Caleb Bellach led the way, pouring in 15 points for the Orediggers, who outscored the Raiders 42-35 in the second half.

Taylor England added 13 points and eight rebounds, and Sindou Diallo netted 12 points.

Derrius Collins hit three 3-pointers and scored nine points for the Diggers, who got seven from Drew Huse and Camdyn LaRance and five from Keeley Bake and Bridger Larson.

Josh Meyer 17 points and 11 rebounds paced the Raiders, who fell to 1-4. Joe Juhala scored 15, and K’wan Carter came off the bench to score 10.

The Orediggers close the tournament Saturday with a 2 p.m. game against Oregon Tech.
