KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Montana Tech’s men’s basketball team is just outside the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The latest edition of the poll was released today, and the Orediggers received votes for the second time. Tech is the top team in the receiving votes category with 72 votes. The teams sitting in No. 25 in the poll garnered 94 votes in the poll.
The Orediggers (10-3, 2-0) opened the Frontier Conference schedule with a pair of wins over Montana Western and Rocky Mountain. Tech is currently on a three-game win streak after defeating Dickinson State in overtime on the road last Saturday.
Carroll College (12-0, 2-0) is the only Frontier Conference school in the Top 25. The Saints moved up two spots to No. 2.
The Orediggers are on the road to take on Ottawa University today in Arizona. Tech has five games scheduled, including an exhibition with Boise State, before the conference schedule starts up again. The Orediggers open the new year at Carroll College on Jan. 6.
