Diallo’s 35 leads Tech men in tournament opener

CALDWELL, Idaho — Junior transfer Sindou poured in 35 points Friday night, and Montana Tech beat Multnomah University 96-76 in a non-conference men’s basketball game. (Stats)

The game was part of a tournament hosted by the College of Idaho.

Diallo hit 16 of 25 shots from the field for Tech, which led 50-38 at halftime. Dylan Pannabecker added 14 points, while Troy Owens Jr. scored 13.

The Oredigers, who improved to 3-2 with the win, also got nine points from Conner Kieckbusch, eight from Christian Jones, seven from Drew Huse, six from Taylor England and two apiece from Derrius Collins and Cody Liles.

Justin Martin’s 27 points paced Multnomah. Grant Balvanz scored 18 while Forrest Smith added 13, and Trey Fountain tossed in 10.

The Orediggers will take on host College of Idaho on Saturday.
