WHITEFISH — Three Montana Tech players were honored as the Frontier Conference released the 2021 Men’s Basketball All-Conference Team today.
Oredigger Sindou Diallo was a first-team selection. Fellow Tech senior Taylor England was named to the second team, and freshman Bridger Larson was named Co-Freshman of the Year.
Zaccheus Darko-Kelly of Providence was named the Player of the Year a day after helping the Argos win the Frontier Conference title.
Providence’s Marcus Stephens was selected Newcomer of the Year. Ifeanyi Okeke of Carroll College and Davien Harris-Williams of Providence were selected Co-Sixth-Man of the Year. Carroll’s Shamrock Campbell was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Larson shared the freshman award with Michael Haverfield of Montana Western.
University of Providence’s Steve Keller was once again named the coach of the Year.
Diallo, a 6-foot-3 guard, was selected first-team All-Conference for the second straight year. The senior led the conference in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. Diallo scored more than 30 points in three different games, netting 35 in two contests. The Tacoma, Washington native averaged 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season.
England, a 6-7 forward, makes his third appearance on the Frontier All-Conference Team. The Helena native averaged 13.8 points per game while shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 80.6 percent from the free throw line. England was fourth in total rebounds (134) despite sitting out a number of games with an injury.
Larson, a 6-foot-6 redshirt freshman from Sydney, averaged 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. He gave the team a boost by filling in admirable for England.
