GREAT FALLS — The Montana Tech women’s basketball team got a huge game from Kelsey DeWit, Mandy Machinal and Danni Devenny Saturday, and the Orediggers beat the University of Great Falls 69-64 in a Frontier Conference game.
DeWit scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the way. Machinal scored 19 points, while Devenny was three assists shy of a triple-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Tech also got seven points from Shay Muprhy and two each from Lisa Laslovich, Brooke Pokorny and Erika Jenkins. The Orediggers improved to 11-8 overall and 4-3 in conference.
Kindra Jones scored 19 points to lead the Argonauts, who fell to 11-10 and 1-6. Mary Wilmore added 14 points, while Lindsey Abramson scored 11.
The Orediggers and Argonauts play again Friday night in Butte.
