Kelsey DeWit of Montana Tech was named Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
DeWit is a 6-foot-2 junior center from Columbia Falls. Montana Tech opened its season by going 2-0 over the weekend. The Orediggers beat Montana Western 72-61 and South Dakota Tech 86-56.
DeWit averaged 17 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals. She was 13 of 18 from the field (72 percent) and 8 of 9 from free throw line (89 percent).

Men
Malachi Roberts of Rocky Mountain College was named Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Roberts is a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard from East Wenatchee, Wash. Rocky opened their season by going 2-0 at the Craig Finberg Memorial Tournament.
The Bears beat Walla Walla University 76-52 and College of Idaho 80-65. Roberts averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals.He was 14 of 22 from the field (64 percent), 7 of 13 3-point field goals (54 percent) and 8 of 9 from free throw line (89 percent).
