Recent Butte High graduates Jake Dennehy, Zach Bunney and Hattie Thatcher will be guests on KBOW Overtime Wednesday night.
Paul Panisko and Bill Foley broadcast Overtime live from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Coaches Corner at the Metals Sports Bar and Grill. The show can be heard on 550 AM or on the net.
Thatcher, who shared the Butte High Outstanding Girl Athlete Award with Natalee Faupel, will be on the show during the first hour. Faupel, a future MSU-Northern basketball player, is out of town for a basketball camp.
Thatcher was a star for the Bulldogs in volleyball, basketball and softball. She’ll play hoops at Montana Tech.
Dennehy and Bunney will join the show on the second hour. The two shared the Dahlberg Outstanding Boy Athlete Award at the Butte High All-Sports Banquet last month.
Over the span of a year, Bunney went from fighting leukemia to rushing for 1,000 yards for the Class AA State champion Butte High football team. He’ll play football at Montana Tech.
Dennehy is best known for booting a 46-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Butte High to a 38-36 win over Bozeman in the title game at Naranche Stadium.
