HELENA — Montana Western’s men’s basketball team rode a big second half to an 80-74 Frontier Conference victory over No. 9 Carroll College Friday night at the P.E. Center. (Stats)
Tanner Haverfield scored 11 of the Bulldogs; first 15 points in the second half, to jump start a comeback as the Bulldogs scored 54 points in the half to overcome a 39-26 halftime deficit.
The win was the first of the league season for the Bulldogs (8-8, 1-4).
Haverfield tossed in 16 points on the game to lead four Bulldogs in double figures. Connor Burkhart added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Max Clark scored 13, and James Jones netted 12.
Dane Warp scored 23 to lead the Saints. Jovan Sljivancanin scored 14, and Dennis Flowers III tossed in 12.
