The Frontier Conference took another wild turn Saturday afternoon.
Rocky Mountain College, under first-year head coach Jason Petrino joined Eastern Oregon in a first-place tie at 2-0 with a stunning 21-20 victory over Carroll College.
Eastern Oregon knocked Montana Western from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 35-13 win at Montana Western.
Southern Oregon (0-1) and the College of Idaho (0-1) were playing non-conference games Saturday night.
Western, Carroll and Montana Tech are one game back in conference standings at 1-1. Northern is 0-2.
Eastern Oregon 35, Montana Western 23
DILLON — Big plays brought down the Bulldogs Saturday.
Zach Bartlow threw for three touchdowns to lead Eastern to the big road victory. The Eastern Oregon quarterback hit Skyler Williams for a 74-yard scoring strike before finding Calvin Connors for an 88-yard score.
Bartlow also hooked up with Connors for an 11-yard strike, and Alfred Gross broke a 45-yard touchdown run.
Western quarterback J.D. Ferris threw TD passes to Matt Lickfold (11 yards) and Beau Brekke (19 yards). Hunter Thomsen also scored on a 1-yard run for Western, which plays at Southern Oregon next week.

The difference in the game, though, just might have been when Zane Guse blocked Colter Hamel’s extra point following a Ryan Walsh touchdown run in the first quarter.
The Saints made it a 13-0 game when J.T. Linder hooked up with Butte Central graduate Connor McGree for a 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter. That marked the first career college catch and touchdown for the former Maroon.
After White hit Carriga for a 36-yard TD, Linder hooked up with Eric Dawson for a 16-yard score to give Carroll a 20-7 lead at the half.
White found Jayc Van Zee for a 55-yard touchdown to pull the Bears to within one score.
White passed for 232 yards in the win. Linder completed 21 of 36 passes for 180 yards.
