Dawgs stop Lights, Rocky shocks L-C

Montana Western and Rocky Mountain College won Frontier Conference semifinal games tonight.

Western topped MSU-Northern 68-59 at the Straugh Gym, while Rocky went on the road to upset Lewis-Clark State College.

The Bulldogs will host the Battlin’ Bears in the Frontier Conference championship game Tuesday night at the Straugh Gym.

DILLON — Point guard Gabe Rucker scored 16 points tonight as the Bulldogs moved onto the title game.

Jordan Overstreet scored 11 in the win, while Maazin Butler, Tyler Miller and Vince Turk scred nine. Jake Owsley and Kris Castro scored seven.

Corbin Pearson scored 14 to lead the Lights. Roshawn West netted 12.


Rocky Mountain 79, Lewis-Clark State 72
LEWISTON, Idaho — Don Parham scored 18 points to lead five Rocky Mountain players in double figures as the Battlin’ Bears upset the No. 1-seeded Warriors.

Joel Barndt scored 16 points, while Nile Finney tossed in 11 and Jeremy Nicolas tossed in 10.

Jacob Champoux scored 22 to lead the Warriors.
