Dawgs, Saints split in Dillon

DILLON — Carroll College and Montana Western split a Frontier Conference basketball doubleheader Saturday night at the Straugh Gymnasium.

The No. 4-ranked Bulldog women knocked off No. 8 Carroll 58-54 (Stats) before the No. 3 Saints men rolled to a 91-78 victory in the nightcap (Stats).

Britt Cooper scored 17 points to lead three Western women in double figures in the opener. Brianna King scored 12 points and dished out five assists, while Shannon Worster came off the bench to score 10 points.

Hannah Dean’s 12 points and 10 rebounds paced the Saints. Brittney Johnson scored 11 points.

Match Bernham’s 23 points led four Carroll men in double figures in the men’s game. Matt Wyman added 18 points, while Dane Warp scored 13, and Ife Kalejaiye tossed in 11.

Kooper Kidgell’s 25 points to pace the Bulldogs. Carter Kearns came off the bench to score 16.
