DILLON — Jon Jund passed for two touchdowns and ran for one more Saturday, and Montana Western beat Southern Oregon 38-7 in a Frontier Conference game at Vigilante Field. (Stats)
Jund hit Dillon native Nate Simkins for touchdowns of 27 and 11 yards. He capped the win with a 15-yard run.
On the day, Jund passed for 164 yards. He ran for 101. Reese Neville and Colten McPhee also ran four touchdowns as Western improved to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
Southern Oregon fell to 3-3 in conference and overall.
Matt Struck scored on a 9-yard run to put the Raiders up 7-0 late in the first quarter. It was all Western after that.
Cory Lewis and Kameron Rauser intercepted passes to lead a Western defense that held the Raiders to just 55 yards rushing.
The Bulldogs are off next week. They head to the College of Idaho on Oct. 23.
