DILLON — Montana Western’s football team will open the 2020 season much like it began the 2019 campaign.

The Bulldogs will play their first game against Carroll College on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Nelson Stadium in Helena.

The Bulldog schedule is now available on the school’s website. (Click here)

Carroll and Western opened the season last Sept. 7 in Dillon, with the Bulldogs pulling out a 31-24 victory. The Saints got revenge with 33-29 victory Oct. 19 in Helena.

The Saints finished the season at 6-4, while Western went 7-3.

Western will play its first home game the next week against Eastern Oregon at Vigilante Field.

Following a trip to MSU-Northern, the Bulldogs will take on Montana Tech Sept. 26 in Dillon. Tech and Western will meet twice in the same season for the first time since 2013. The Bulldogs head to Butte for a Nov. 7 showdown on the Bob Green Field.

After hosting Rocky Mountain College on Oct. 3, the Bulldogs travel to Ashland, Oregon to take on Southern Oregon. Western plays back-to-back home games against the College of Idaho and Northern before the second meeting with the Orediggers.

Western closes the regular season Nov. 14 at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.
