DILLON — No. 23 Montana Western celebrated Homecoming with 42-28 victory over MSU-Northern Saturday afternoon at Vigilante Field.

Jon Jund threw for 196 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. He was picked off three times and sacked twice. He hooked up with Nate Simkins for three touchdowns. The former Dillon Beaver caught eight passes for 92 yards.
Jamison Hermanson also caught a 69-yard touchdown pass, and Colten McPhee and Sean Cooney each ran for a touchdown. McPhee had a huge day on the ground, running for 160 yards on 26 carries.
Joe Caicedo registered 12 total tackles to lead the Western defense. Tanner Harrell and Butte Central graduate Kyle Schulte each got in on nine. Dylan Pope picked off a pass and broke up two.
Kaymen Cureton passed for 218 yards and a touchdown for the Lights. Izayah Boss ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Paul returned a pick 45 yards for a score.
The Bulldogs, who improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in Frontier Conference play, head to Butte next Saturday to take on Montana Tech. The Saints (1-2 overall and in conference) travel to Southern Oregon.
