DILLON — The University of Montana Western head football coach Ryan Nourse named former all-conference offensive lineman Nick Brown as a full-time offensive assistant, the school announced today.
Brown joined the Bulldog football coaching staff for the 2015 season as an offensive intern where he coached the offensive line. Before joining the staff, Brown had an extremely successful playing career as a Bulldog (2010-2015), where he was a four-year starter at left tackle and was a two-time all-conference selection.
“Nick started at UMW for four years and served as an intern coach last season,” Nourse said. “He well deserves the promotion and we are excited to have Nick on board as a full-time assistant.”
A 2010 graduate of West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington, Brown graduated from Montana Western in 2015 with a degree in Health and Human Performance where he also garnered Frontier Conference all-academic honors three times.
“I am excited for this tremendous opportunity that Coach Nourse gave me to be a full-time assistant at my alma mater,” Brown said. “I believe in what Montana Western has to offer from an academic and athletic standpoint, so I couldn’t be more proud to represent the university and Bulldog football.”
Brown will serve as the offensive line coach, and coordinator for recruiting, camps, academic success and travel.
