WHITEFISH — Zaccheus Darko-Kelly of the University of Providence was selected the Frontier Conference’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Darko-Kelly is a 6-foot-6 junior forward from Great Falls.
Providence went 2-0 at the Bill Himmelberg Memorial Classic. The Argos beat No. 8 Northwest University (Wash.) 112-104 and 98-94 over Dickinson State University.
For the weekend, Darko-Kelly averaged 34 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. He was 25 of 37 from the field (68 percent) including 7 of 13, 3-point field goals and 11 of 15 free throws.
Sindou Diallo of Montana Tech, Kavon Bey of MSU-Northern, James Jones of Montana Western, Damek Mitchell of Lewis-Clark State, Grant Wallace of Rocky Mountain College and Dane Warp of Carroll College were also nominated for the award.
