Darko-Kelly goes for 40 in win over Western men

GREAT FALLS — Zaccheus Darko-Kelly had yet another big night Friday.

The reigning NAIA National Player of the Week scored 40 points to lead the University of Providence to a 93-76 win over Montana Western in a Frontier Conference men’s basketball game at the McLaughlin Center. (Stats)

Darko-Kelly, who began his career with the Bulldogs, also grabbed 13 rebounds and handed out seven assists.

Jaxen Hashley added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Argos, who led 44-41 at halftime. Dawson Fowler chipped in with 14 points and seven boards, and Rashee Stocks scored 11.

James Jones scored 25 points to lead the Bulldogs, who head to Havre to take on MSU-Northern on Saturday. Cedric Boone scored 14 points, while Tanner Haverfield, Brian Howell and Connor Burkhart each scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds.
